Hiboy Partners with CSUF Titan E-Scooter Safety Lab to Promote Safer Riding

As e-scooters become an increasingly popular way to commute on college campuses, rider education has never been more important. To help promote safer and more responsible micromobility use, Hiboy proudly joined the Titan E-Scooter Safety Lab at California State University, Fullerton, working alongside campus safety leaders to give students hands-on training, practical riding tips, and greater confidence on the road.

A Hands-On Safety Event for the Campus Community

On April 29, Hiboy proudly sponsored and participated in the Titan E-Scooter Safety Lab hosted by the California State University, Fullerton Police Department from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Central Quad. Designed as an interactive learning experience, the event welcomed students, faculty, and staff to build safer riding habits for both campus pathways and surrounding city streets.

Held in partnership with California State University, Fullerton Police Department, Hiboy, and Lumos, the program highlighted the importance of responsible riding as e-scooters continue to grow in popularity across college communities.

Building Confidence Through Real-World Practice

During the event, participants completed a guided obstacle course created to simulate common riding situations. With supervision from campus police personnel, riders practiced essential techniques such as controlled braking, smooth turning, obstacle avoidance, and situational awareness.

Attendees also learned key safety reminders, including following roadway rules, respecting pedestrian-only zones, and wearing protective gear such as helmets. The event concluded with a raffle, where participants who completed the course had the chance to win e-scooters, helmets, and other prizes supported in part by Hiboy.
