I got the S2 (refurb) first. Great little scooter. Struggled a little on the hills, but it's light and quick and fun, and the price was nice. Left me wanting more, though. So, I got the S2 Max (refurb), and let my girlfriend use the S2. Huge difference! Even though there is no suspension, the larger pneumatic tires make the scooter handle much better than the S2's smaller solid rubber tires. It doesn't beat you up as much and goes better over rough terrain. And it's not nearly as twitchy with the wider handlebars. It does weigh more which doesn't bother me, but my girlfriend already struggles with the S2's lower weight. On the hills you can really feel the difference the Max brings. I had to weave up hills on the S2 to maintain a good speed and if the battery was getting low it just wouldn't make it. The Max scoots right up them and even steeper hills the S2 wouldn't be able to touch with full battery. The range is also way better as she can be down to 20% battery and I'm still around 50-60%. Due to the twitchiness of the S2 I decided to let her ride the Max for a bit for safety reasons. It just feels way more stable and I am more skilled in riding due a childhood filled with BMX bikes and big hills. Now she wants to ride it all the time! I'm now looking for another more powerful model with full suspension!
refurbished has been a good buy so far. there are only small signs of wear. It is still a lot of money but so far have been happy. I like the low center of gravity and robust frame of the s2 max. Another nice thing about is that is simple, no suspension, no blinkers, just good range and a good ride.
I've been having a blast on this scooter the past couple of weeks - looks good, super solid and easy to ride, easy to shift to the 3 different speed options, good lights, and long-range capabilities. Refurbished was like new...
Finally got some miles on our refurbishedand from Hiboy S2 Pros.
We did an 18 mile loop through our city and they did great.
Now too figure out the S,D, & E for better battery life.
I’ve only ridden it between 15-20 miles so far but the scooter looks new and functions as it should. I’m happy with the purchase.
Purchased 2 S2 max refurbished electric scooters. Great buy. They look like new. Teenage grand kids rode them all day, batteries held up well. Still had power at the end of the day. Yes their top speed is 22 mph. Glad I purchased.Handle bars are high, no leaning over to drive. Six ft. person can easily drive them. Great wheels, not a rough ride.
