Can I remove the battery from the X300 scooter to charge it?
Yes, you can. It allows for convenient charging, extended range with spare batteries, and easier maintenance.
What is the maximum load for the X300 scooter?
The maximum load for the X300 scooter is 265 lbs (120 kg).
Why is the max distance lower than the advertised max distance?
The max distance is measured under optimal conditions: no wind, 79°F temperature, fully charged battery, riding at a constant speed of 14 mph (23 km/h) on a flat surface with a load of 165 pounds (75 kg). The real battery life may vary due to factors such as load, humidity, wind speed, and riding habits.
I can't charge my scooter. What's the problem?
If the scooter is charging, the LED on the charger will show a red color. If the scooter is fully charged, the LED will turn green. To check if the charger is defective, plug it into the socket without connecting it to the scooter. If the LED is not on or not red, the charger may be defective. Contact us at support@hiboy.com for further support.
When I press on the throttle, why is the scooter not moving?
Please note our scooter is set with a kick-off start function for safety reasons. This means you need to stand on the scooter, kick it off to reach a minimum speed of 3.1 mph, then when you press down the throttle, the scooter will accelerate further. You can also refer to the user manual for details on the kick-off start operation.
Why can't the speed reach 23 mph?
Please ensure you have double-clicked the power button to set the speed mode to Sport mode. We have three speed modes: Eco mode (energy-saving), D mode (Standard), and S mode (Sport). If the speed mode is set to red S mode and the speed still can't reach 23 mph, please check if you have accidentally modified the max speed in the App. Additionally, factors such as battery status, rider weight, and road conditions can influence the maximum speed. With a fully charged battery, within 220 lbs weight, and riding on a flat road, you can reach a speed of 23 mph easily.
Why won't my Hiboy X300 start even though it is fully charged?
Before attaching the scooter handlebar, connect the cable between the controller and the display. If the X300 doesn’t start, make sure this cable is plugged in.
