How to Identify the New and Old Versions
Step 1
Remove the screws shown above, then carefully open the handlebar head to access the cable inside.
Step 2
Locate the cable connector inside the handlebar. Hold both ends and gently pull them apart. Do not pull directly on the cable.
Step 3
Compare your connector with the images above. The old version has a “Y5” marking and layered grooves, while the new version has two open slots near the cable.
