Hiboy at the Fremont Police Safety Fair: Join Our Micromobility Safety Rodeo

Hiboy is partnering with the Fremont Police Department for the 2026 Fremont Police Safety Fair on Saturday, October 3. The free community event will bring together local public safety agencies, city departments, community organizations, and families for an afternoon focused on safety, education, and community engagement.

As part of the event, Hiboy will host a dedicated Micromobility Safety Rodeo, where participants can get hands-on experience practicing basic riding and maneuvering skills in a controlled environment.

If you ride an electric scooter or e-bike, or simply want to learn more about riding safely, we invite you to stop by and take part.

Put Your Riding Skills to the Test

The Hiboy Micromobility Safety Rodeo will feature a 50-by-80-foot riding area with two main riding challenges: a figure-eight track and a slalom course.

Participants can use the course to practice:

• Turning and steering: Learn to make controlled turns while maintaining a steady line.
• Maneuvering: Navigate around cones and other course elements.
• Vehicle control: Practice maintaining control while changing direction.
• Situational awareness: Become more comfortable responding to obstacles and changes in your riding path.

The goal is simple: give riders an opportunity to practice important skills before they need to use them on everyday streets and shared paths.

More Than a Riding Course

The Hiboy area will also include a Safety Education Station featuring electric bikes and an electric scooter. Hiboy team members will be available to talk with participants about responsible riding and everyday safety practices.

The area will include information on safe charging and fire safety, as well as a giveaway station where participants can pick up safety-related items, including premium helmets.

Whether you're an experienced rider or still learning the basics, the Hiboy area will offer an opportunity to ask questions, try out the course, and learn more about responsible micromobility use.

A Day of Safety for the Fremont Community

The Fremont Police Safety Fair is hosted jointly by the Fremont Police and Fire Departments and is designed for community members of all ages.

Along with the Hiboy Micromobility Safety Rodeo, visitors can explore a wide range of public safety activities and demonstrations, including:

• Police vehicles and equipment
• Police K-9s and drones
• Mobile Command Unit
• Fire Department engines and safety demonstrations
• Bike Rodeo and e-bike safety activities
• City department and community partner exhibits
• Health and safety resources
• Food trucks and giveaways

The 2026 Safety Fair will also feature a new e-bike safety course and an opportunity to meet a DoorDash delivery robot.

For younger riders, the event's Safe Moves Bike Rodeo will provide a chance to practice bicycle and scooter riding while learning about traffic signs, signals, crosswalks, bike lanes, and other elements of street safety. Loaner bikes, scooters, and helmets will be available, although children are encouraged to bring their own equipment.

Why Hiboy Is Supporting Rider Safety Education

For Hiboy, safer riding starts with more than the vehicle itself. Riders also need opportunities to understand their equipment, practice basic skills, and learn how to navigate the spaces they share with pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users.

That's why Hiboy has been supporting hands-on safety education programs in communities and on college campuses throughout 2026. Earlier this year, Hiboy supported the CSUF Titan E-Scooter Safety Lab, where students practiced e-scooter handling skills with campus safety personnel. In May, Hiboy also supported the Rancho Cucamonga E-Bike Safety Fair, which brought teenagers and families together for e-bike safety education and supervised riding activities.

The Fremont Police Safety Fair continues that effort in partnership with a local public safety department, giving riders another opportunity to learn and practice in a real community setting.
